Please be aware that peg 5 on Sherwood Water (pit 1 Reydon ) is closed until further notice due to a big WASP nest in the bush. We have taken the action to close the peg due to safety concerns as a committee member was stung 3 times yesterday whilst fishing in the peg. The committee member in question is ok, he alerted the society to the issue and we are taking steps to deal with the situation as soon as possible. Young Albie and his dad Tom were at it again over the weekend. Tom wrote : “Another fantastic session on Reydon Pits, day ticket Sherwood water. Once again with Albie absolutely smashing it with 6 carp to just over 14lb. Even I managed to get in on the action, with 2 hard fighting Commons to 14lb. The tench weren’t so willing feeders this time but Albie did manage a lovely looking fish of just over 5lb. Safe to say we will be back to target some of the Lakes bigger carp.” Wel
