EARLY REPORTS & MORE OFFERS OF MEMBERSHIP

Really good reports from all of our lakes over the last week despite low numbers actually fishing, only 8 people on the entire Reydon complex on the opening day!

Carp and Bream were both spawning on the opening day on Pit 1 so attention was diverted to 2 and 4.

Tench to 4.5lb are now showing from Pit 1 with a session producing several fish along with some nice sized rudd, ide and the odd crucian to over a pound. Carp and bream are also starting to show.

Pit 2 has, as usual, has been slow for carp with some blanking and others landing fish to 25lb and over. Good catches of quality tench with at least 2 anglers achieving personal bests at 6lb 4oz although at least one 7lb fish landed. 5lb plus bream have also shown along with some crucians.

Pit 4 has started off consistently with most anglers landing at least one carp in the 15 to 21lb bracket with a report of a 28lb fish.

Kessingland continues to fish pretty well with some nice bags of bream along with the odd tench. The rudd are surprisingly inactive at the moment, possibly due to the clarity of the water but the rain may change that.

The deadline for taking up an offer of membership has now passed for the first batch of people on the waiting list. As is normally the case, there were several offers not taken up so a second batch if offers have been emailed out. If you are on the waiting list but not heard anything as yet then please check your email inbox and your trash. Also, for iphone users check your folders.

Photos show Derek Baggot with a nice Pit 1 Tench, Chairman Barry Reid with his 6lb 4oz pb Pit 2 Tench and some of the other Reydon fish and action with Peter Jolly playing a fish.
