GENERAL UPDATE

URGENT WORKS BEING CARRIED OUT ON PIT 1.

Please note that works to remove the wall forming the silt trap for one of the surface water outlets will be carried out this Wednesday (30th July). There will be noise and vibration disturbance during the morning / early afternoon. Peg 16 will also be closed for the day.

The Committee apologise for any inconvenience caused but will try to ensure disturbance is kept to a minimum.

WATCH YOUR RODS

Our waters continue to produce some exceptional fish and each year we get reports of rods and reels being whipped away by bolting fish. This year is no exception and we have already heard of this happening on at least 2 occasions. One rod was recovered but so far the other has not been.

Please ensure that bait runners and clutches are properly set and the rods secured with suitable butt rests etc.

CAR RADIO NOISE

Radios are not permitted on Society waters but please also take care to turn car radios off when approaching and going through our gates as there have been reports of residents in neighbouring properties being disturbed.

ENTERING & LEAVING OUR WATERS

Please note that the 1 hour before sunrise and 1 hour after sunset times apply to entry and exit times. THESE ARE NOT FISHING TIMES.

Due to anglers previously failing to observe the times, actual times are displayed on each gate. These times have been agreed by the Committee and must be observed.

Action will be taken should any angler be found to be breaching these access / egress times.
