IMPORTANT MESSAGE AND UPDATE EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING & ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Dear Members,

Please note that there was an error in the published date of the upcoming meetings in both the Membership Book Cover and the EGM / AGM invitation, the latter recently posted to members

The correct date is Thursday 16th April 2026, meeting 7.30pm for 8pm start at the Reydon Sports & Community Centre, Wangford Road, Reydon, IP18 6PA.

Please accept my personal apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

This is a particularly important meeting as there were significant gaps in the constitution regarding the protection of assets that the Society owns. Whilst there is currently no threat to them, it is important to safeguard them for future generations of anglers. Legal advice has confirmed the need to introduce the additional rules being put forward as well as some changes to an existing rule. Unfortunately, to do the latter our constitution requires the changes to be agreed at an Extraordinary General Meeting which is why the evening will start with that.

Please try to attend if you can as we need to ensure there are sufficient people there to form a quorum for the EGM.

There will also be an opportunity to pay your subscriptions for next season and to enter the raffle which usually has a good range of prizes including fishing tackle and a free years subscription.

Soft drinks will be available to purchase but cash only please.
