Partial Closure of Reydon Pit 2 and Kessingland update

Members are advised that pegs 1 to 5 on pit 2 will be closed to anglers on Wednesday 15th November for urgent tree works. Whilst this is the planned day, the timing may need to be changed due to weather and contractor commitments, further updates will be issued as necessary.

The new lock at Kessingland has been broken by somebody putting super glue into it. We had some reports that the first number could have been sticking so it is unclear if the lock has been vandalised or if somebody tried to be "helpful" by fixing the first number in position. Either way, if anybody has any problems with any of the Society locks, or for that matter other issues on our waters, then please report the matter to a committee members so that the matter can be given proper attention.

Finally, thanks to Committee Member Pete Turrell and Minute Secretary Les Ellis for carrying out work on the bridge at Kessingland following concern being expressed about the bank eroding away at the island end. Also to Peter Elwart for supplying the materials.
