New Lock For River Waveney
Following reports that the gate giving pedestrian access to the Ellingham end of our stretch of river having been padlocked, the farmer advised the gate was being left open (thankfully no suggestion it was anglers). We have agreed we can daisy chain one of our own locks onto his so that we can both use our own numbers and still gain access. Thanks to Steve, our river bailiff, for installing the lock.
The access code is the same as for our other Society waters.
Please keep the gate locked.

The hold back post for the main access gate has been repaired (thanks go to Peter Jolly) and we have gone back to the original hook arrangement to prevent the gate being slammed into the latch early in the morning as this added to disturbance to neighbours.
Talking of which, we have received reports that occasionally anglers arrive earlier than the access times and so wait at the gate. This is great except for those who keep their engines running and have the radio on with music playing, sometimes for up the 30 minutes. If you do get there too early then please turn engines off whilst waiting. Also, whenever using the access, at whatever time, we ask that radios / music is turned off.
