Kessingland Lake extended closure

  • May 12, 2020

Members are advised that despite the governments recent announcement that angling would be permitted from tomorrow (Wednesday 13th May 2020), the owner of Kessingland Lake has decided that he does not want the lake to be opened at the moment. Consequently, we are unable to proceed with the planned opening of the water on the 13th May.

We appreciate that this will be disappointing for many of our members but unfortunately the decision has been taken out of our hands, please accept the committees apologies for this but there is currently nothing we can do about it.

Please do not try to go to the lake for a look around as the lock is being changed to prevent access and it will be difficult to turn a vehicle around in the limited space available. The situation will be monitored on a monthly basis with a view to getting the water open as soon as we possibly can.
