Due to urgent works being needed on the other pits, Pit 3 had no work done on it during the closed season.
The recent Thursday work party has managed to open it up again and, whilst heavily reeded and having an abundance of weed, have managed to open up three swims. Although this included the use of weed rakes and reed cutters it would be advisable to take a weed rake with you. Thanks go to Paul Moss, Gary Cole and John (slim) Welsh for helping with this, despite the intermittent heavy rain on the day.
Hopefully we will soon get reports of catches of the crucian carp, tench and rudd that live there.
