Pit 4 reopening ?
Our contractor has completed all the heavy work on pits 3 and 4 but in order to reopen Pit 4 as quickly as possible we need our members to come forward and help to move, and spread, wood chippings along the areas of bank that have been disturbed. The ground is currently very dry but will cut up badly if it becomes wet and is walked on so time is of the essence. We have quite a few wheel barrows available but if you have one then please bring it along together with any shovel

Pit 1 Continues to give good sport
Pit 1 continues to give good sport as it has throughout the season. Robin Dawes, a day ticket, angler banked a pristine 21lb 6oz common from peg 10 today the 4th November. Two similar catches fell to Dan with a 21lb 8oz common on the 28th of September and Dave Garner with a 20lb 12oz common on the 11th of August.

Pit 3 update & Pit 4 closure
Work is progressing well on Pit 3 with the digger work likely to be completed on Friday October 31st. The video shows some precision work by PW Groundworks driver (Derek) to cut swims into the bank and leave "shoulders" to support decking. This will also create fish refuges below the platforms to counter potential cormorant predation. Once digger work is complete on Pit 3, the digger will move onto Pit 4. Work will be done to reprofile the bund between pegs 4 and 7, increase
